Biomarkers of serum fatty acids in lipid-lowering model of pumpkin seed oil

  • Biomarkers of serum fatty acids in lipid-lowering model of pumpkin seed oil need to be elucidated.36 SPF KM male mice were randomly divided into 3 groups, control, high-fat, PSO intervention. After continuously feeding four weeks, the content of serum fatty acids were detected with gas chromatography- mass spectrometry. No species differences existed in all these groups. The contents of C16 ∶1, C18 ∶1, C18 ∶2, C22 ∶6were significantly different between these groups (p<0.05) . Thus the oil adjusted the serum fatty acid profile of hyperlipidemic mice-C16∶1, C18∶1, C18∶2, C22∶6.
