Optimization of ultrasonic-microwave synergistic extraction of total flavonoids from Abelmoschus Esculentus(L.) Moench by response surface methodology

  • To optimize the extraction technology of total flavonoids from flowers of Abelmoschus esculentus(L.)Moench,response surface methodology was applied on the basis of single factor tests. The results showed that microwave power,extraction time and liquid-to-material ratio had extremely significant effect on the extraction yield of flavonoids. Results showed that the optimum conditions were as follows:ethanol concentration 70.3%(v/v),microwave power 263 W,extraction time 275 s and solid/liquid ratio 1∶30.2(g/m L). Under the optimized conditions,the exaction yield of total flavonoids from flowers of Abelmoschus esculentus(L.) Moench was 3.937%.
