Advances on pathogenesis-related proteins of postharvest fruits

  • Postharvest fruit pathogenesis-related proteins(PRs) are a kind of proteins which are produced or accumulated by fruits under the biotic and abiotic stress. They are thought to be an important part of the defense system of fruits and have a certain degree of antibacterial activity in vitro. In recent scientific studies of PRs,they could be divided into 17 function related protein families. The main research about PRs of postharvest fruits was elicitors. This paper reviewed some PRs of postharvest fruits and the direction of the research on postharvest fruit pathogenesis-related proteins was discussed in the end.
