Extraction and purification of fucoxanthin from Undaria Pinnatifida

  • With single factor experiment and orthogonal test,this study aimed to extract fucoxanthin from Undaria pinnatifida,silica gel column chromatography as further purification.The experimental results showed that,12 times95% acetone,2.5h,55℃,extracting for 3 times,were more efficient and economic. The purity of fucoxanthin could be improved from 2.31% to more than 24.2% after silica gel column purification.
