Optimization of extraction process of polysaccharides from Blueberry leaves by response surface methodology

  • Polysaccharide is a kind of important biological active substance. Therefore,it is significant to effectively develop and utilize the polysaccharide from blueberry leaves and improve the economic and social benefits of blueberry leaves.In this paper,polysaccharide was extracted by the method of hot water immersed extraction and ethanol precipitation.Extraction process of water- soluble polysaccharides from blueberry leaves was optimized by response surface methodology.The content of polysaccharide was determined by sulfuric acid to phenol method.The results showed that the extraction time was 4.2h,extraction temperature was 85℃ and the ratio of material to liquid was 1∶35( g / m L).Polysaccharide was precipitated with 5 folds volume of ethanol for 6h.The proportion of the extraction of polysaccharide from blueberry leaves under this industrial process conditions was 29.2mg / g.
