DAD-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of flavonoids in ginger

  • Ginger is rich in nutritional value and medicinal health benefits, is also the important spice, had great development prospects. High performance liquid chromatography with diode array detector (HPLC-DAD) was employed to establish the detection method of flavonoids in ginger. Chromatographic conditions were as follows :as the stationary phase HYPERSIR C18 BDS, mobile phase A methanol, mobile phase B 0.1% formic acid in water as the mobile phase, using gradient elution, flow rate 0.8m L/min at 30℃, detection wavelength of270 nm and 370 nm. In the 0125mg/L range eight flavonoids had good linear relationship within the linear range.The method was simple, sensitive, reproducibility and could be effectively used for the determination of the content of flavonoids concentrated ginger samples.
