Research progress in exogenous ethylene on glucose metabolism regulation and action mode in plants

  • The applications of exogenous ethylene in fruits, plant tubers and their action modes of glucose metabolism regulation were summarized in this paper. The regulation effect of exogenous ethylene was mainly made by the influences of key enzymes in glucose metabolism, and during this process, gene expression and protein phosphorylation of these enzymes were affected significantly. At last, the prospects of research trend in action mechanism of exogenous ethylene on carbohydrate pathway by molecular modulation were done in this paper.
