Study on antioxidant activities of Pinus sylvestris L.bark polyphenols in vitro

  • Pinus sylvestris L. is rich in active ingredients including polysaccharides, flavonoids, phenolic substances, organic acids, tannins and so on. It is valuable in medicinal development. Using P.sylvestris. bark as raw materials, the composition after extraction and purification was studied and evaluated and the antioxidant activities of P.sylvestris. bark polyphenols in vitro was evaluated respectively. The results showed that after purification with D101 macroporous resin column chromatography, the the content of anthocyanins, flavonoids and polyphenols, were (0.3158±0.0215) , (0.0022±0.0004) , (0.6414±0.0586) mg/mg respectively.And P.sylvestris. bark polyphenols had strong antioxidant activity in vitro. It could scavenge free DPPH radicals, hydroxy radicals, and ABTS+radicals effectively, and had strong inhibition capacity in peroxidation of yolk lipoprotein and reducing power.
