Quantitative determination of mangiferin in Mangifera indica from different species in Yunnan province by HPLC

  • In the present study, the contents of mangiferin in mangifera indica leaves, mangifera indica peel and mangifera indica pulps with 16 different species in Yunnan province were determined by HPLC. The results indicated that mangifera indica leaf contained the highest amount of mangiferin, while mangifera indica pulps contained the lowest mangiferin. Meanwhile, the leaves of Yuanjiang Hubaoya contained the highest amount of mangiferin among these 16 different varieties. All these results provided scientific basis for the industrial production of mangiferin.
