Content determination of ginsenoside monomers in one-year-old farmland ginseng and American ginseng by HPLC

  • In order to explore the contents of ginsenoside monomers between farmland ginseng and American ginseng, the contents of ginsenoside monomers were analyzed comparatively in farmland ginseng and American ginseng by RP- HPLC. The results indicated that one- year- old farmland ginseng contained nine kinds of ginsenoside like Rg1, Re, Rf, Rg2, Rb1, Rc, Rb2, Rb3, Rd, and Aamerican ginseng contained 7 kinds of ginsenoside such as Rg1, Re, Rb1, Rc, Rb2, Rb3, Rd.The contents of ginsenoside monomers in American ginseng were higher than that in farmland ginseng except for Rb2; the differences of 7 kinds of ginsenoside monomers were significant ( p < 0.05) .The contents of ginsenoside monomers in farmland ginseng and American ginseng met the quality standards of Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
