Optimization of deproteinized process from Echinops latifolius Tausch polysaccharide by response surface methodology

  • Objective : To select deproteinization- technology of Echinops latifolius Tausch polysaccharides. Methods:These different ways to removing protein from polysaccharides in Echinops latifolius Tausch contain trichloroacetic acid (TCA) method, Sevage method and enzymatic method, and that were compared with the clearance rate of protein and the polysaccharide retention as indexes, and the enzymatic method was optimized by response surface analysis. Results:The protein removal rats of TCA and Sevage methods were 45.13% and 47.47%, and the polysaccharide retention rats were 61.05%, 67.65%, respectively. and the optimum technologic conditions of deproteinization were the pH6.0, 64℃ for 2.6h. under these conditions the protein removal and polysaccharide retention rats were 56.57% and 98.16%, Conclusion:The enzyme method was the best deproteinization method of the polysaccharide extracts from Echinops latifolius Tausch.
