Optimization of extraction process of water-soluble polysaccharides from seeds meal of ginseng

  • Skim ginseng seed meal as raw, the water-soluble polysaccharide was extracted from ginseng seed. With the conditions determined in ethanol concentration, on the basis of single- factor experiment, selecting extraction temperature, extraction time and ratio of water to material as a variable, polysaccharide-yield as response values, central composite design methods were used to research the respective effects of polysaccharides of variables and their interaction on yield. The predictive polynomial quadratic equations model was developed by response surface analysis theory, and the optimal extraction conditions of the polysaccharides from seeds of ginseng were concluded as follows: extraction temperature 93℃, extraction time 6.9h and ratio of water to material 1 ∶ 25g /mL. Under these conditions, the yield of the polysaccharides was up to 7.59%.
