Preparation and characterization of super microcrystalline from Pineapple leaf fiber

  • Pineapple leaf fiber was pretreated by sodium hydroxide, Nitric acid, Hydrochloric acid and hydrolyzed by 64% Sulfuric acid, super microcrystalline cellulose was gotten.The structure and properties of microcrystalline cellulose was characterized by Scanning electron microscopy ( SEM) , Transmission electron microscopy ( TEM) , Zeta potential and particle size analyzer、Fourier transform infrared chromatography ( FTIR) and X- ray diffraction ( XRD) .The results showed that the length and diameter distribution of super microcrystalline cellulose was 300700nm and 2050nm.The type of super microcrystalline cellulose was cellulose I, degree of crystallization was rised from 57.8% to 82.7%.
