Study on the preparation of high purity phytic acid by means of ultrafiltration and ion-exchange

  • Phytic acid which extracted from defatted rice bran was purified by means of ultrafiltration and ion-exchange resin.Parameters of the process were determined. The results indicated that, D318 weak base anionexchange resin was quite suitable for adsorbing and eluting phytic acid from the rough extract of defatted rice bran and the optimal process conditions were as follows: at room temperature and the pH was adjusted to 2.5, the flow velocity of adsorbtion was 1mL /min, and the flow velocity of desorption was 0.5mL /min, the eluention concentration should be 0.5mol /L. The static absorption capacity of D318 resin reached 168.1mg /g and the dynamic one could be 176.98mg /g.The concentration of phytic acid prepared by the process was 50%, and the purity can reach 85.5%. The results of study have certain reference significance for the production processes of phytic acid in practice.
