Simultaneous determination of ten mental cations in water by single column ion chromatography

  • Separation and determination of ten mental cations simultaneously in water including Li+, Al3 +, K+, Cs+, Mg2 +, Co2 +, Ca2 +, Sr2 +, Cd2 +and Ba2 +by single column nonsuppressed ion chromatography, citric acid and ethylenediamine as the eluent. On the determination of eluent concentration, pH and ionic retention time were studied.Regression equation of the calibration curves for all the ten mental cations were presented, with correlation coefficients in the range of 0.99470.9996, RSD's 0.73% 1.99% and recoveries 94.0% 102.0%.This method can be used for analysis of water samples, obtaining satisfactory results.
