Advance on sample pretreatment and analysis of DEHP in food samples

  • As a common Phthalates Esters, the adjacent benzene two formic acid and two (2- ethylhexyl) ester (DEHP) is widely used in plastic industry.Because of carcinogenicity, teratogenicity, mutagenicity and endocrine- disrupting toxicity, detection and analysis of DEHP in food has caused widely range of concern.In this paper, the pretreatment methods for DEHP analysis in food samples, including soxhlet extraction, ultrasonic extraction, solid-phase extraction, solid-phase micro extraction etc.were summarized.The analytical methods of DEHP, such as liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, GC-MS, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry were reviewed.
