Mutation and selection of high fermentation rate of D-lactic acid producing strain by atmospheric and room temperature plasmas

  • To obtain Sporolactobacillus mutants with improved fermentation rate, an atmospheric and room temperature plasma (ARTP) jet was firstly used to treat the Sporolactobacillus sp.Y2-8 which was bred in our previous research.The mutant with high D-lactic acid producing rate, named Y90s-1, was quickly screened according to high glucose concentration and pH indicator (bromocresol green) selecting plates.This mutant had good genetic stability and the D-lactic acid production rate reached 1.05g/ (L·h) , which was higher 36.3% than that of the original strain.
