Preparation of new probiotic by using attapulgite as carrier

  • Purified attapulgite was used as probiotic carrier in this paper.Different effect conditions on adsorption rate of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Streptococcus fecalis and Lactobacillus bulgaricus were researched.The results showed that the adsorption rates of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Streptococcus fecalis and Lactobacillus bulgaricus were 89.08%, 84.24%, 89.42% respectively when 10mL of 109CFU /mL-1cells were mixed with 3mL of 34.08mg /mL attapulgite and absorpted for 40min at 35℃ and pH6.5.New probiotics were obtained by freeze drying after adsorption, and colony forming units of Lactobacillus acidophilus、Streptococcus fecalis and Lactobacillus bulgaricus were reached to highest of 2.98×109, 4.33×109and 6.21×109CFU /g respectively, and survival rates reached to 95.1%, 92.2% and 95.9%.The time of reaching maximus number of living cells of these three new probiotics in simulated human intestinal environment were 4, 6 and 4h.The living cells could still maintain to 108109CFU /g for 315h.
