Research of separation and purification of plant polyphenols and their antioxidant, lipid-lowering, hypoglycemic function

  • Many kinds of natural plants are concerned for their important bioactivities.Polyphenols is an important activity substance contained in natural plants, and is a free radical scavenger and a new type of nature antioxidants, can prevent aging of tissues and organs, improve cardiovascular disease, regulate blood sugar level and reduce blood-fat.Hence, high efficiency and low toxicity plant polyphenols is more important in function food, modern medicine, and healthcare industries.This study outlined classification of polyphenols, extraction and purification of polyphenols, hypolipidemic and hypoglycemic physiological function and polyphenols development prospect.
