Purification of flavonoids from Hibiscus manihot by macroporous resin

  • Objective:To investigate the technological parameters of the enrichment process of total flavones from Hibiscus manihot. with macroreticular resins. Methods:Using the static capacity absorption, the adsorption rate and desorption rate t as the indexes, the best resin was screened out for enriching flower Hibiscus manihot flavonoids. The technical process for purification of total flavones with the optimum macroreticular resin was investigated by total flavones product. Results:The results indicated that the absorption capacity and elution ratio of SP-825 type of macroporous resin were the best in these types of macroporous resin. The optimum extraction conditions was that the concentrationan of sample was 3. 24mg·mL-1, pH of sample was 5. 0, the adsorption velocity was 4BV·h-1and three times again. The eluant was 70% ethanol, the eluting velocity was 4BV·h-1 and the consumption of eluant was 2BV. Conclusion:SP-825resin showed good adsorption and separation property for Hibiscus manihot flavonoids.
