  • Galla Chinensis is our country forest special product, and its gallic tannins can be hydrolysed under the reaction of acid, alkali and enzyme.Gallic acid is a natural polyphenol material.It has many biological activities, such as anti-caries, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities, etc.Besides, it is applied in field of medicine and food.This paper reviewed the preparation, determination and biological activity of Gallic acid from Galla Chinensis.
