Research progress in apple grading using laser light imaging technology

Laser can analyze the physical and chemical characteristics of apple, so laser technology has become a hot research topic in the field of apple nondestructive detection.This paper described the theory how to detect apples’internal quality with diffuse reflection of laser technology, and introduced the composition of image acquisition platform which collects the images formed on the surface of apples.This paper summarized the apples’internal and external quality indicators, such as the decay of apples’internal and the color, surface damage of apples, which used diffuse reflection of laser technology.At the same time, we focused on the development of selecting and optimizing the lasers, and optimizing the angles, and choosing different algorithms for image noise removal, and amending apples’size and shape, and probing more effective information for modeling.
