Opimization of conjugated linoleic acid production from linoleic acid by Lactobacillus plantarum

  • CLA isomers are much simpler through biology isomerization of LA than through chemical.And it will bring a bright promise for application of CLA, which is isomerized by Lactobacillus.In this paper, we studied the optimization of culture medium, which was used to produce CLA by Lactobacillus plantarum.The composition of medium was optimized.The result showed that the optimal medium was as follows:glucose 20g/L, yeast extract 40g/L, magnesium sulphate 0.5g/L, manganese sulfate 0.5g/L, sodium acetate 2g/L, dipotassium hydrogen phosphate 1g/L.After optimization CLA product had increased to 0.259g/L, which had a large raise compared with optimized before (0.0455g/L) .
