Purification and antioxidant activity in vitro of exopolysaccharides from fermentation liquid of Ganoderma Sinense

  • Objective:To purify the exopolysaccharide from Ganoderma Sinense and investigate its antioxidant activity. Methods:Ganoderma Sinense exopolysaccharides were isolated through the step such as ethanol precipitation, removing of proteins by polyamide, ion-exchange chromatography of DEAE-52.The antioxidant activity was measured by DPPH., O 2., and.OH scavenging. Results:Three polysaccharide which were obtained from the fermentation supernatant of Ganoderma Sinense were GSP1, GSP2, and GSP3.Among which, GSP2 had a higher antioxidant activity with 76.3% at 1.6mg/mL to DPPH.and 81.5% at 5mg/mL to.OH.Conclusion:The isolated exopolysaccharides from the fermentation supernatant of Ganoderma Sinense had the character of antioxidant activity.
