Anticancer activities of ethanol eluting fractions from Lonicera edulis anthocyanidins extract

Lonicera edulis anthocyanidins have good anticancer function and variety.To sift and determine the anthocyanidin with stronger anticancer ability from Lonicera edulis extract, Lonicera edulis extract was absorbed on resin X-5 and eluting gradient with 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% and 60% ethanol solution to get six fractions.The cell inhibiton rates of the six fractions were determined on human lung cancer cell A-549, human liver cancer cell HepG2 and human cervical cell Hela.The results showed that all the six fractions exhibited strong cancer cell inhibition.The inhibition ability of 10% ethanol fraction on three kinds of cancer cells.From big to small order was:Hela>HepG2>A-549.In conclusion, concentrations of ethanol eluting fractions had different but strong cancer cell inhibition ability which can be used on medical care, food or pharmaceutical for prevention of cancer.
