  • Edible composite films were prepared with Chitosan, and added to some citric acid, CaCl2 and plasticizer glycerine and Chinese herbal medicine Coptis chinensis Franch.The result indicated that the tensile strength (TS) of films increased with Chinese herbal medicine Coptis chinensis Franch.component, while the elongation at break (E) , the water vapor permeability, the lightness ralue decreased.The film became darker and little green color as evidenced by the luminosity decrease with added to Chinese herbal medicine Coptis chinensis Franch.component.
