Optimization of alkaline protease-producing Exiguobacterium aurantiacum on medium compositions and fermentation process

  • The culture medium composition and fermentation conditions for protease producing from Exiguobacterium aurantiacum had been studied with univariate tests and orthogonal experiment in this paper.The optimal medium compositions was as follows 10g/L yeast extract, 15g/L corn starch and 15g/L NaCl, and the best fermentation conditions was as initial pH8.8, time for 24h, temperature for 25℃, inoculum 6%.The protease activity reached 37.793U/mL.E.aurantiacum could grow in poor condition, and the alkaline protease production was relatively high.The E.aurantiacum had potential to be used to produce alkaline protease.
