Optimization of extraction technique of tannins from Flos Farfarae by response surface methodology

  • EDTA complexing titration was used and extraction ratio was taken as the index with the method of Flos Farfarae to analyze the optimum extraction conditions, the influence factor were also investigated and identified as acetone concentration 31%, solid to liquid ratio 1∶12, extraction temperature 30℃ and extraction time 167min. The results showed that under the optimum extraction conditions the experimental value was 14.97% (RSD (n=5) ) , which was similar to the predicted value of extraction rate of tannins (15.26%) , and the method was work fine.
