Research progress in the preparation of functional sugar from crop straw

  • China is one of the main producers of agriculture in the world, which can produce over 850 million tons of straw per year.It's a major issue of contemporary agricultural development to make rational and effective use of crop straw.In this paper, the progress of functional sugar generation (xylose, arabinose, xylo oligosaccharides, fiber digasaccharides) from crop straw was reviewed.The advantages and disadvantages for each method were also evaluated.
