  • Plant secondary metabolites are important sources of food, flavor, fragrance and so on.Quantitative assay is the crucial first step in research, development and production of plant secondary metabolites.Progress of sample preparation and content or concentration determination was introduced.Advantages and disadvantages of different methods were also discussed.After the typical problems in quantitative assay of plant secondary metabolites were analyzed, strategies for further research of analytical methods were proposed.
