Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the effect of samara oil with aerobic exercise on blood lipids and hepatic lipid accumulation in high fat diet-fed mice. Methods:The male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into normal diet-fed group(NC),high fat diet-fed(HF),high fat diet-fed with samara oil group(HS),high fat diet-fed with aerobic exercise group(HE),high fat diet-fed with samara oil and aerobic exercise group(SE). Eight mice for each group were treated for 8 weeks. After experiments,ELISA assays were applied to measure the plasma triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),how-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),and hepatic TC,TG. Atherosclerosis index(AI)and liver coefficient were calculated, and H&E staining was used to observe histopathological changes in liver tissues. Results:The body weight,TG,TC,LDL-C of serum,TG,TC of hepatic,AI and liver tissue fatty degeneration reduced significantly compared with HF group(
p<0.05).Furthermore,the combined treatment of samara oil with aerobic exercise showed better effect. Conclusion:Samara oil with aerobic exercise could significantly improve lipid metabolism disorders and hepatic lipid accumulation induced by high fat diet feeding, and reduce the risk of atherosclerosis and fatty liver.
