Abstract:
To systematically study essential nutrients of pomegranate fruits and screen excellent varieties which suitable for large area culture, 8 kinds of pomegranates which mainly distributed in Shandong province were detected and analyzed, the detection items included moisture, soluble protein, amino acid, total acid, soluble sugar, vitamin C, fat and ash content. Soluble sugar content and fat content of pomegranates were compared with that of other common fruits. Results showed that, soluble sugar, total acid, amino acid and vitamin C content among different kinds of pomegranates were significantly different, soluble sugar content of Da Hongpao pomegranate was the highest, 227872mg/kg, total acid content of Qing Pisuan pomegranate was the highest, 24814mg/kg. These two kinds of pomegranates might be developed as characteristic varieties with single nutritional ingredient. Qiuyan, Xie Huatian, Gangliu pomegranate had balanced and rich nutritional ingredients.Compared with other fruits, pomegranates had complete essential amino-acids with abundant content, Qiuyan pomegranate had the highest content of flavor amino acid, Qing Pisuan pomegranate had the highest content of essential amino-acids. Compared with FAO amino-acid pattern, amino acids contained in pomegranates were more easily to be absorbed by human body.
