Abstract:
Seven kinds of common plastics materials ( CPP, LDPE, HDPE, PP6, PP12, OPP, PO) as modified atmosphere packaging ( MAP) were preliminarily studied to screen the suitable packaging materials for preservation of Red fragrant pear. These packages were filled with N2, air, vacuum, and the pears which exposed to ambient air were as the control. Red fragrant pears were stored at room temperature after MAP.These indexes such as, gas content, weight loss, sensory quality were detected during storage, and quality related indicators of Red fragrant pear were measured at the beginning and the end of storage. The results showed that there were quite different among the species and thickness of materials. Materials of PO, LDPE and CPP were more suitable for MAP of red fragrant pear, and the effects of N2 were significantly better than that of air and vacuum.
